Playtech’s Year in Sustainability: Celebrating Our Milestones and Recognitions

Science-Based Targets Initiative Approval

One of the most notable milestones for Playtech in 2024 was the approval of its near-term science-based emissions targets by the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Playtech has committed to reducing its scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions by 50.4% by 2032, using 2022 as the base year. This ambitious target is part of Playtech’s broader goal to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040. Here you can see our approval letter by SBTi.

Playtech listed in Europe’s Climate Leaders index 2024

Earlier this year, Playtech was also listed in the 4th annual edition of the “Europe’s Climate Leaders” Special Report following an international study by Statista. The study looked into European companies that are most successfully reducing their core greenhouse gas emissions relative to their revenue, collaborating with NGOs and setting targets for further emissions reduction. Driving Sustainable Growth

Playtech has been recognised as one of the World’s Best Companies in Sustainable Growth for 2025 by TIME; positioning Playtech at 245 out of 500 companies. You can read more about this incredible achievement here.

Recognition by FiNTEL Sustain

Playtech’s efforts have not gone unnoticed. The company was honoured in the FiNTEL Sustain rankings in the gaming industry, securing a spot among the top 10 companies for its sustainability practices.
