Playtech win top B2B honour at Malta iGaming Excellence Awards

London, May 25th 2018 – Playtech, the world’s leading omni-channel gaming company, has been awarded the top B2B prize at the second annual Malta iGaming Excellence Awards (MIGEA).

Although only in its second year, MIGEA is already one of the highlights of Europe’s iGaming awards calendar. The event is designed to reward and celebrate the companies and individuals constantly working to innovate and improve standards in the iGaming industry.

The B2B Gaming Excellence Award recognised a series of technological innovations, industry-first features and exclusive content developed by Playtech during the 12-month judging period, including:

·         The Gaming Platform as a Service (GPAS) game content development system. GPAS boasts all the tools necessary to build a slot game from scratch, with ‘building blocks’ generated by an accelerated maths creation engine, put together using a simple drag and drop tool.

·         The Marketplace service – an intuitive, easy-to-use app-store approach to game discovery and configuration that acts as a ‘shop window’ for licensees, using advanced algorithms to provide a recommendation service.

·        Innovative new jackpot formats, with cross-vertical shared jackpot liquidity across the Age of the Gods games suite, and an industry-first automatically re-triggering Daily and Weekly jackpot across the Sporting Legends series.

·        The growth of our unrivalled branded content selection following our major 2017 deal to develop DC Entertainment titles in association with Warner Bros., including a world first same-day film and slot release for our Justice League game.

The MIGEA team highlighted the “beautifully executed design” of Playtech’s “compelling to play” games and the company’s “slick and very well-polished” products, stating that “Fortunately for us judges, Playtech made it easy choice… they deserve our accolade.”
