London, 28 August 2019 – A lucky Codere player has won Spain’s biggest casino jackpot – a €1,510,172.82 payout on Playtech’s Gladiator: Road to Rome.
The seven-figure jackpot is more than ten times the size of Spain’s previous biggest – a circa €130,000 win on Playtech’s DC Superheroes Jackpot series in May this year. The record win takes the amount paid out by jackpots by Playtech since April 2015 to €7.3m.
Based on the iconic Oscar-winning 2000 film, Gladiator: Road to Rome is Playtech’s sequel to its highly successful original Gladiator slot. The game’s Gladiator Bonus feature, triggered when Helmet bonus symbols appear simultaneously across reels two, three and four, presents players with nine Helmets, all worth different cash prize amounts. Any player lucky enough to land nine gold helmets triggers the progressive jackpot.
