Playtech powers complete omni-channel Mecca Bingo content solution
Playtech’s pioneering omni-channel content has been launched across
Mecca Bingo’s entire product range including its new Mecca Max handheld
devices enabling the leading brand to offer players the ultimate gaming
The ground-breaking, ‘anywhere-anytime’, seamless connection of
Playtech ONE omni-channel games and systems across every channel and
device – including Mecca’s retail, online, mobile and 12,000 in-hall
bingo handheld terminals – is the first time a supplier has successfully
launched a combined bingo software and content strategy.
As part of the initial omni-channel content launch, Playtech’s best performing slot games, Adventures in Wonderland and Heart of the Jungle,
have gone live across all channels and devices, including handhelds,
and will be central to an extensive in-store and online promotional
campaign Mecca is planning to launch in the coming weeks.
The move follows the launch earlier this year of Playtech’s
industry-leading retail server-based software across Mecca Bingo’s
entire suite of 2,300 UK terminals and a number of other successful
omni-channel system integrations including the pioneering Coral Connect
which has seen more than 260,000 customer sign-ups.
The nationwide retail deal, signed in the summer in partnership with
SG Gaming, boosted Playtech’s already sizeable share of the UK LBO
market and is its largest ever within the UK retail bingo sector. It
also complements its existing long-term online bingo partnership with
Mecca, a key, tier-one Playtech licensee.
Playtech Retail powers 40,000 terminals globally offering a full
enterprise management system for land-based venues and providing
licensees with complete operational control.
Using powerful back office management tools, the system provides
operators with all the tools they require to successfully run and manage
their businesses giving them full site control and control of their
estate and player base.
These tools include player, content and multimedia management,
rules-based rewards, jackpots, tournaments, bonusing, loyalty, cash desk
facilities, responsible gaming, security and monitoring.
All of these features can be used to maximise profits via Playtech’s
analytics functionality. With real-time reporting, business
intelligence, optimisation and player tracking capabilities, operators
are able to manage and modify their activity based on success, while the
system also allows operators to segment the terminals and venues based
on the value they offer to their business.
Shimon Akad, COO, Playtech, said: “The retail team, in line with
our pioneering omni-channel strategy, is going from
strength-to-strength, as is our relationship with Mecca following the
successful retail software roll-out this summer.”
Mohammed Zabed, Head of Slots at Mecca, said: “We’re delighted
that this strategically important project has come to fruition following
the nationwide software agreement we signed with Playtech earlier this
year. This is a bingo-first and goes a long way towards meeting our omni-channel strategy and, more importantly, our customer needs.”
