Playtech

London, May 1 2019 – Playtech’s Live Casino division brought both extra excitement and added cross-sell opportunities to this year’s Grand National, with dedicated events for key customers including Ladbrokes Coral and Paddy Power Betfair.

Following the success of Cheltenham Roulette in recent years, Ladbrokes Coral players had the opportunity to enjoy Grand National Roulette for the first time this year. The dedicated table took full advantage of Playtech’s state-of-the-art live casino technology, with the high-end studio incorporating live streaming of the famous race, allowing players to enjoy all the action without leaving the table. Thanks to Playtech’s integrated bet slip facility, players could also seamlessly place bets on the big event in real time.

Meanwhile Paddy Power Betfair offered players an exclusive version of Playtech’s highly successful Spin a Win; a hosted gameshow-style segment featuring a ‘wheel of fortune’ game. Since its launch last year, Spin a Win has proved a popular choice for seasonal and exclusive variants, with Paddy Power Betfair’s Grand National version featuring a bespoke design, complete with themed animations delivered by a dedicated green screen solution.

Kevin Kilminster, Head of Innovation at Playtech Live Casino, comments, “A key part of the value Playtech can deliver as a Live Casino technology provider is our ability to provide bespoke content; content that maximises the marketing potential of major events such as the Grand National. We know many Live players are also Sports bettors, so being able to deliver an enhanced experience for those players – one that allows them to enjoy both in a single environment – is a significant bonus for licensees.

“The combination of bespoke content and sector-leading technology Playtech can offer is unmatched elsewhere in the industry. Thanks to our Engagement Centre, we are the only provider to offer real-time engagement and in-game messaging as part of our Live product; a key point of differentiation for our partners. The long-term value of cross-vertical players is widely recognised, so technology and content that can help operators unlock that value is vital”.
