Playtech

London, April 29 2019 – Playtech is set to deliver a new level of jackpot excitement with the launch of the Fire Blaze series – a suite of games introducing a compelling ‘Hold and Respin’ feature, offering players the chance to win four different jackpots.

Launched this month with Sky Queen, the Fire Blaze series is the brainchild of Rarestone Gaming; the latest addition to Playtech’s stable of content studios. Based around ancient culture themes, all Fire Blaze games will give players the chance to win one of four jackpots – the Mini, Minor, Major or Grand jackpot – via the ‘Hold and Respin’ feature.

The Fire Blaze series is an innovative prospect for players and licensees alike. With a distinct brand and compelling jackpot offering, the suite will build with new releases throughout the year, creating an excellent opportunity to build player retention and loyalty through brand recognition. By unlocking the power of Playtech’s new Engagement Centre – a key component of the award-winning IMS player management platform – licensees can take advantage of industry-leading promotional and bonusing tools to capitalise on player interest in the brand; for example, using the real-time in-game messaging function to promote new releases in the series.

With frequently triggering features and a game mechanic built around anticipation, the Fire Blaze series is designed to deliver a balance between growing excitement and a pay-off experience for players. With similar game mechanics already proving highly popular in Rarestone’s native market of Australia, the Fire Blaze series offers licensees the combination of a fresh approach and a track record of success.

How to play

In the main game, six or more Sun symbols trigger the Respins feature, with each Sun representing a prize. These symbols, and their corresponding prizes, remain locked within the feature round, with extra Suns awarding both more prizes and additional respins. Any jackpot star symbol is guaranteed to trigger one of the Mini, Minor or Major jackpots – worth up to 500x total bet – or, if Suns fill all the symbol positions, the player wins the Grand jackpot, winning 2000x their original stake. The Grand jackpot can also be won in the main game with 15 Sun symbols on the reels.

James Frendo, Casino Director at Playtech, comments, “The unique strengths of each of our studios is a core element of Playtech’s content strategy, and Rarestone’s expertise in creating games with a sense of excitement and anticipation comes through clearly in the Fire Blaze series. The combination of Playtech’s innovative game design and powerful back-end technology, coupled with the scale of our distribution network, puts us in a unique position to create recognisable jackpot brands players will actively seek out.

The Fire Blaze suite offers something genuinely fresh for even the most seasoned players, with each new game featuring a different second feature to further encourage players to try every release. At the same time, ancient culture themes are perennially popular, further widening the appeal of what we believe will be a long-term successful brand”.

Sky Queen is available on general release now.
