Playtech’s new poker client launch with a brand new enhanced table feel and functionality
Playtech, the world’s largest publicly traded online gaming software supplier, is pleased to announce the release of the latest version of its poker client offering. The upgraded version, with fully redesigned table, is deployed on the iPoker network, the largest poker network in the world, and its Italian counterpart, iPoker.it. Key to the new design is enhanced player convenience, using a variety of innovative features to create a user-friendly interface.
Following on from recent improvements to the poker lobby comes a superior table look, feel and functionality. The sleek new tables have a sophisticated and streamlined design, with players able to choose from an expanded list of avatars, and in the near future, have the ability to upload their own designs. The table rotation feature enables players to sit at whatever position they like around the table, and the key ability to resize, cascade and tile the table view, makes multi-table play an intuitive experience.
Developments to the ‘My Favorites’ feature allow players to add any cash table, scheduled or sit & go tournament to their favorites list, with a familiar gold star system. Players can quickly join their chosen tables via their My Favorites list, and with the new, convenient calendar, they can easily view and access the tournaments that they are registered to. Further features aimed at improving the playability and sociability of the poker client include the new Observer Chat function, configurable by card room, whereby observers at a table can also engage in the player chat.
To complete the release of this new version, Playtech are pleased to introduce a new game; Razz. A form of Stud poker, this popular game sees the lowest hand take the pot, and is a valuable addition to the portfolio of poker games already on offer.
Yair Panet, Head of Poker commented: ‘Playtech’s poker product is a continually evolving offering, committed to anticipating and reflecting the changing needs of operators and players. In this way, both our poker client and network remain pioneers of industry innovation and growth.’
Aid for Haiti
Card rooms across the iPoker network will participate in a special ‘Aid for Haiti’ tournament, where iPoker will match the amount raised through players’ buy-ins. All the proceeds are going to the Red Cross, to help with their essential relief work in the wake of this disaster. In addition, players on the network are being given the opportunity to donate money from their accounts to support the relief efforts.
